Tattoo Designs For Men – Men Tattoos

Posted by Tattooaholic

Tattoo Designs For MenTattoo Designs for Men Have Power

Tattoo designs for men are not hard to find.  More men than women still get tattoos despite the fact that the women seem to be trying to catch up. The real difference between the designs for a man and a woman is pretty obvious as naturally the answer is masculinity.  What can make a tattoo more masculine are bold and assertive lines and a theme that is based on something men can relate to easily.  Tattoo designs for men can make their body art collection stand out and be distinctive while telling the world a little bit more about the man who has them.

Tribal is a distinctive style that works better for most men than women because of the dynamic dark lines and jagged shapes drawn symmetrical and aggressively along the skin.  This tattoo is usually done in solitary black, but can be fused with other dark hues.  This type of tattoo is based on far older styles of body art that were used for ritualistic purposes such as the process in many cultures to mark becoming a man or for protection in battle.  According to some, even today some Burmese believe that a tattoo over the heart will protect them from being shot.  Sailors brought this type of tattoo home with them to the United Kingdom and America from the Maori tribes of New Zealand.

A favorite sport also brings some good ideas for tattoo designs for men.  Most sport mascots are masculine in appearance. The Dallas Cowboys, for example, have a stylized emblem for their team that works well as a tattoo design.  A football team emblem can be placed anywhere to show team devotion, but it goes especially well on the chest over the heart to really make a statement.

Justin Timberlake man tattoosHip hop music has infused tattoos with many masculine images and designs. Based on urban, gangsta and prison influences, hip hop body art tends to tell the wearer’s life story in ink. Rapper, producer and actor Eminem has many tattoos.  There are dog tags around his neck, on his left shoulder there is a large mushroom, his daughter’s name in a very straight lettering on his inside arm, a gothic bracelet on his left wrist and  the saying “Slit Here” on the right wrist. There’s a tribal D on his right forearm, the number 12 on his left forearm and a tattoo representing the name Slim Shady on the other side to complete his history.

Tattoos can be infused with masculinity from the wearer’s own history. Sometimes tattoo designs for men can tell the story of a bond or friendship between co-workers such as with the case of Orlando Bloom, the actor from Lord of the Rings, who along with eight other stars from the movie Lord of the Rings got a tattoo of the Elvish design meaning the number nine.  This tattoo is on his right wrist.

Angelina Jolie Tattoos – Meanings Of Angelina Jolie Tattoo

Posted by Tattooaholic

angelina jolie back tattoosAmong the many things that the striking beautiful actress Angelina Jolie is good at, you have to list coming up with ideas for personally meaningful tattoos.  While many of us have to search the brain bank of pictures on the internet and strike up conversations with other tattoo enthusiasts, Angelina seems content to ferret ideas from her own mind.

Her amazing body has been decorated with body art for many years. They have no real connection apparently except for the fact that the actress seems to favors dark ink, tribal or Gothic type markings and script.

“Know your rights” is tattooed between Angelina’s shoulders in Gothic script.  This is a song title from a favorite band of hers.

A Buddhist Pali incantation decorates her left shoulder blade. The words appear to be written from the side, so to read the script you need to look at it with your head leaning to the left.  The script is created to look like the shape of Khmer Cambodia’s official language.  This is rumored to be for the protection of Maddox her adopted son who was born in Cambodia.

She has a tattoo in an Arabic font on her right arm.  There is confusion as to whether this says Strength of Will or Determination.  The confusion might be caused by the fact this Angelina Jolie tattoo covers a previous tattoo she made with Billy Bob Thornton.

The Roman number 13 can be seen on her left underarm.  She doesn’t believe in the superstition about the number and wanted to prove it. She also has initials on in this location too, which caused some talk when she first got it, but it turns out this was just a tattoo to express her feelings for Winston Churchill.  The WWII leader proclaimed “I have nothing to offer, but blood, toil, tears, and sweat.”  He made this statement on 13th May 1940.

On her left arm is a quote from writer Tennessee Williams “A prayer for the wild at heart kept in cages.”

She has a Gothic looking cross with the phrase Quod me nutrit me destruit, which is Latin for “What nourishes me, destroys me”.  She got this before marrying her first husband Johnny Lee Miller. Fans often wonder what he thought of that.

Angelina Jolie Tattoo MeaningsOn her wrist she has a small rune style tattoo that looks like an h.  There is a lot of speculation about what this could mean including a reference to her ex-love Timothy Hutton or could it be her brother James Haven this symbolizes?  Of course it could be something only she knows.

The groups of numbers on her shoulder and upper arm written in a straight line running downward are the geographical sites where she first saw her children.

She has a Bengal tiger tattoo on her lower back to commemorate her Cambodian citizenship.

Of course, the canvas of her skin is constantly changing so she might have already found new tattoos to add to her collection. Like many people, she has found the ultimate way to express herself through body art.

Britney Spears Tattoo Collection

Posted by Tattooaholic

britney spears tattooBritney Spears Tattoo Collection

Britney Spears has several tattoos.  It is believed that currently she has at least nine somewhere on her body.  Like many people, Britney does not appear to have a plan for her tattoos other than to have one at will, when the mood strikes her.  Many individuals follow this method and only look for a way of unifying them when they wish to incorporate them into a large tattoo like a half sleeve tattoo.

Britney Spears, who was born on December 2, 1981, is a singer and entertainer.  She was born in Kentwood, Louisiana, but went into television at a young age. In 1992 she competed on a television program called Star Search and went on to star in a Disney series the New Mickey Mouse Club that ran from 1993 to 1994.  She signed a recording contract with a label known as Jive and released her debut album.  Baby One More Time was a big hit in 1999.  This established her as a pop icon.  She still works on television and released her sixth album in 2008.

Britney has three Kabbalah symbols tattoos. There is some confusion about the three symbols, however.  These symbols are on the back of Britney’s neck, and they are meant to convey healing, but they might or might not have been placed out of order.  It has been reported that she either covers them over these days or had them removed.

She has a beautiful flower fairy on her lower back. This little fair wears a yellow dress and sports green, blue and pink wings.  This chubby darling looks like an illustration from a children’s book.

Britney also has some kanji and a flower. These are located on her right hips.  The kanji is in the center of the flower. The kanji is supposed to represent mystery, but also has other meanings so this is another good example of reasons to always do a lot of research into the meanings of symbols before getting the tattoo.

Britney sports a cute toe ring tattoo on her right toe.  She has a butterfly vine tattoo also on her right foot. This particular design is very sporty, and she picked a great spot for the vine motif.

She has a very simple star tattoo on her right hand.

The Britney Spears tattoo collection also includes a pink dice on the inside of her left wrist. They are seen as symbols of taking risks.
