Dragon tattoo designs can come in many styles, shapes, colors and sizes.  Men and women from cultures all around the world love dragon art.  Dragons can be beautiful, fearsome, ferocious and enchanting.  Some designs are masculine, some are feminine, and some can be both.  They can be any color and style, and despite their popularity, dragon tattoo designs can also be unique.  These creatures can convey so many different emotions that there are designs to match anybody’s personality type.

Obviously, the meaning and symbolism behind a dragon depends on which culture it comes from.  In the Western world, these mythical beasts are often thought to be fearsome.  In Asia, they can be seen as spiritual creatures. People get dragon tattoo designs for different reasons.  Some get them because they want to wear something formidable, while others do so because they appreciate the mysticism and spirituality behind these creatures.

It is quite common to see dragons combined with other designs.  For instance, many people choose to get a fire breathing dragon tattoo that features a winged beast surrounded by bright, orange flames.  Dragons designed in a circle formation often feature a yin yang, peace sign, pentacle or Celtic knot.  Water dragon tattoos are also popular, and can be very, very unique.  Most people associate dragons with fire, but in some cultures, they can be water creatures.

Dragons can be made to look traditional, modern and even realistic.  Sometimes they are drawn as majestic, winged creatures and other times they are drawn more serpent-like.  They can be drawn as huge, scaly beasts or bright and colorful creatures.  The possibilities are virtually limitless, and it is no wonder that dragon tattoo designs are some of the most popular the world has ever known!
