It's a personal preference. I have the majority of my torso done, i dont tell people, i dont get it out, only my close friends and girlfriend know. It's for me to be fair. But i dont think you should judge people because they like this kind of thing, if you dont, then dont get it! You certainly know if you're going to regret it at some point down the road. I often see really young kids and wonder what they are doing when they have there hands tattoo'd etc, because it will really affect your job. I think the main question here as to trying to understand why people get them. You basically wont if you dont already get it, and thats no different to not being into baking cakes! There will be a bunch of faded stretched out old guys and old ladies running around- gross. I personally have never seen an attractive tattoo. I think they all look gross. I told my sister if there is ever anything she want on my body so badly she would make it permanent she should take a sharpie or some paint and redo it every couple of days. if it lasts more than a month before it loses it novelty or you find times you wish you didn't have it then MAYBE consider getting it tattooed.
